CR 4550 Theories of Crime Grading Policies Work to be completed: Each student will complete a series of “responses” – very much like journal entries – on the readings and films examined in class. These responses will engage with the theoretical importance of the visual or written “text,” and connect to aspects to the assigned readings in Akers. There will also be quizzes, and a midterm and final paper assignment. Regular attendance and constructive participation by all students are important to the effective functioning of the course, and so they will be monitored and graded, as well as the written assignments turned-in to be marked. Therefore the course grade will be composed of the following elements:
General Policies: Late work will not be accepted. Work missed for absence may only be completed based on an individual review of the case, including the nature of the reason for the absence, any patterns of absence, and the nature of the work missed.
